About me

Rapeeporn Chamchong is an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Informatics, Mahasarakham University, Thailand over 24 years. She graduated PhD (Information Technology-Intelligent System) from Murdoch University, Australia, M.Eng. in Electrical Engineering from King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology (Ladkrabang), Thailand, and B.Sc. in Statistics from Srinakarintwirot University (Mahasarakham), Thailand. She is a director of Bachelor of Computer Science Program and an administrative committee of Faculty of Informatics. She is specializing in Document Image Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence. She had been the Associate Dean of Academic and Quality Assessments from 2007 to 2008 and the Head of Computer Science Department from 2002 to 2006. She also had been several academic activities such as an administrative committee of the faculty and a secretary of graduate faculty. Her academic activities include teaching various subjects such as Research Methodology for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Problem Solving for Computer Science, Computer Programming, Mathematics for Computer Science, Probability and Applied Statistics for Computer Science, Numerical Method, Operating System, and so on. She has led various research projects in Document Image Processing and Artificial Intelligence. She was also supervising several students specializing in Document Image Processing and Pattern Recognition under Artificial Intelligence area.
   In 2018, she got award the Endeavour Research Fellowship from Ministry of Education and Training, Australian Government to do the researchat the University of South Australia (UniSA) for 6 months, in 2009, she got an award to be a finalist of the 2009 Google Anita Borg Scholarship (Australia and New Zealand).
